producer ~ performer  ~ visual  artist

I’m an artist from Amsterdam making dreamlike, experimental electronic music. My sound moves between ambient techno, minimal EBM, and dark synthwave. I use old archival footage from the 1930s to 1960s to create alienating, cinematic worlds. The result feels both nostalgic and strange — like a futuristic fever dream shaped by the past.

LOOK AT ME (2023)
- video installation

Am I a fantasy to you or do you see me

for who I am? Is that even possible?

LOOK AT ME focuses on seeing ourselves

as a story, where we decide how it’s told.

By interviewing my friends about what they

don’t dare to show, but wish to express

through their appearance, I was given the

chance to visualize their unconscious needs.

This project is a search for recognition,

an ode to vulnerability and an interpretation

of who we are. It translates my curiosity

for the alter ego into a personal story:

one wherein fantasy speaks the truth.

  • In my graduation work, I explored the concept of club alter egos – That project organically evolved into my solo music project: Subject Sue, which is an audiovisual performance project.

    FOCUS RESIDENCY

I’ve only been working on Subject Sue for about 9 months, so it’s still evolving.

During this residency, I want to focus on a few key things:

      - Make matching visuals for a track.

      - Possibly record a live video performance combining sound and image.

      - Brainstorm about my artistic direction – do I also want to make purely ambient sets? Or focus more on danceable live shows?

      - Work on my release and business strategy – how and when to release music, how to grow my project.

      - Make new music, ‘song diaries’.
