Subject Sue is an Amsterdam-based artist creating dystopian nightclub music at the intersection of darkwave and ethereal techno. Through pulsating synthesizers, textured soundscapes and haunting vocal harmonies, she explores the blurred boundaries between lust and romance, intimacy and alienation. Inspired by queer club culture and the fragile edge between euphoria and estrangement, her music unfolds into a cinematic nocturnal haze.

With a background in visual arts, Subject Sue brings sound, performance and imagery together into an immersive world of her own. What began as an alter ego gradually evolved into something more personal: a space to explore desire, queer identities and the strange beauty of the night.

Following over 80 immersive live performances of Club Dystopia throughout the summer of 2026, Subject Sue is set to release her debut EP Details In The Dark on vinyl via Italian label Avant! Records in October.
